When you visit this website. Each time a page is requested, your browser transmits technical data that are necessary to deliver it: IP address, date and time of the request, the address requested, the volume of data transferred, the message about successful retrieval, and information about your browser and operating system. These data are stored in server log files.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technical operation, the stability and the security of the website. These data are not combined with other sources and are not evaluated in relation to an individual. The retention period is [to be completed].
When you write to us. If you contact us by e-mail or by telephone, we process what you send us solely in order to deal with your enquiry and any questions that follow from it. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry serves the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
We delete these data as soon as they are no longer required for that purpose, and we review this regularly. Statutory retention obligations, in particular under commercial and tax law, remain unaffected. This website has no contact form; an enquiry reaches us through your own e-mail program or by telephone.
Technical service providers. We use processors to operate this website: a hosting service to deliver the pages, a database for the content and a store for the image files. The connection data described above are processed in doing so. The services used are Vercel Inc. for hosting, image delivery and file storage, and Supabase for the content database. What this website does not do. It uses no analytics or tracking tools, no tag manager and no tracking pixels. The typefaces are delivered from our own server, not from a font service; no connection to Google Fonts is made. The images run through our own server as well: your browser requests them from our address, not from an external image host. There are no social media plugins — the references in the footer are ordinary links and transmit data only when you click them.
Cookies. This website sets a single cookie, and only if you switch the language: it remembers your choice of language for one year. It is technically necessary for that function, contains no personal data and serves no analysis. There is therefore no consent banner — no services requiring consent are used.
Your rights. You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). An informal message to the address above is sufficient.
Right to lodge a complaint. Irrespective of the above, you may at any time lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority competent for us is Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
