STOEPPLER NACHTWEY ARCHITECTS PARTNER

SNAP is an architecture practice with a high level of expertise and a clear idea of professional work. Our office concentrates on finding, for every task and every project, a strong conceptual approach informed by wide-ranging knowledge and experience from earlier projects, and on interweaving it with the wishes of our clients and the specialist knowledge of everyone involved.
A pragmatic approach to economic viability and to design and technical requirements characterizes our work in the first work phases, through the specification of the construction work and on to construction under our own construction supervision and project documentation.
The team of SNAP Architekten
Behind every project stands a team that thinks of groundwork, design, and execution as one interlocking whole. At SNAP, architects and construction supervisors work closely together – from the first design sketch to the handover of the building. Different generations and perspectives meet and complement one another: experienced project management, old and new knowledge, design ambition and design, and a building-culture perspective. Exacting and experienced specialist engineers for structural systems, building physics, surveying, and building and energy services work across disciplines and are part of the team on each of our projects, in changing combinations.
In 2012, Uldis Stoeppler and René Nachtwey founded SNAP Architekten BDA. Both bring wide-ranging experience from the office Stoeppler + Stoeppler Architekten BDA Stadtplaner, which the brothers A. and U. Stoeppler founded in Hamburg in 1989 and ran together until 2011. Since the beginning of 2012, many more projects of widely differing scale and task have been successfully conceived, planned, and built on this professional foundation.

We have over 35 years of experience in developing and building smaller and larger residential projects: houses, villas, and housing complexes, as well as institutional and educational projects, repairs and restorations, landscape interventions, and demanding technical planning. Numerous publications in the serious professional press and in books attest to the public interest in our work.
Our architecture and planning think in spans of time rather than in trends, and look for their own formal interpretation within the contemporary. Sustainability in how we handle resources, materials, and sensible, innovative technology drives us in every building task, in the existing fabric and in new construction.
